About IPS

The Psychoanalytic Society in Israel was founded in the spring of 1933 by Max Eitingon, who was one of Sigmund Freud’s students and followers. In 1934, the Society was admitted to the ranks of the International Psychoanalytic Association. The association was registered as a  association on May 25, 1982. The Psychoanalytic Society in Israel is a non-profit organization, whose objectives are the cultivation, promotion and dissemination of psychoanalysis as a theory and method of treatment and all areas of its application, as well as protection of the rights of its members.
